Island Zero: Inbetween Returns – Remaster Launch Announcement

After years of silence, Island Zero: Inbetween is returning.

Originally released as the sixth season in the Island Zero series, Inbetween served as a bridge between the first and the second chapter of the story.

Now, the map has been reconstructed and is getting relaunched with significant improvements, modernized gameplay, and a refreshed visual identity.

This remastered release aims to preserve the original atmosphere while refining the experience for modern Fortnite Maps.

    A Map Between Worlds

Inbetween was never meant to be just another map.

The map exists as a transitional space — a world suspended between collapse and reconstruction. Fragments of architecture appear where they shouldn’t, and remnants of earlier locations remain scattered across the deep void.

Players who explored the original version may remember the feeling of instability: something was always shifting around the floating islands.

The remaster keeps that core idea intact while expanding the environment to feel more alive and cohesive.

    What’s New in the Remaster

The new version of Island Zero: Inbetween introduces several major improvements:

    • Updated lighting and atmosphere to better match the original vision of the map
    • Performance improvements for smoother gameplay
    • Refined loot pool to help you earn your victory!
    • Visual upgrades to key landmarks and structures
    • Countless of bug fixes!

The goal of the remaster is not to replace the original concept, but to bring it closer to the vision it was always meant to represent.

Some of you might not even realize that things are different this time around!

    Looking Ahead

The relaunch of Island Zero: Inbetween is part of the new and broader Echoes of Zero project, which continues to explore the world and story behind the Island Zero universe.

For now, Inbetween stands as a reminder of where the story advanced after Chapter 1 — and a hint of what still lies ahead.

    THE STORM

  • Merge with Madness with the Mighty Sword! – v1.60 Patch Notes

Merge with Madness with the Mighty Sword! – v1.60 Patch Notes

The Zero Point has been behaving strangely lately, causing the island to shift and change. With this comes a new POI called Merged Madness!

Merged Madness by itself isn’t a new POI, but because of the Zero Point, some of the floating islands in the surrounding area have merged and are now one large island by itself. Each floating island is featuring a different environment and structure from a different time and place. Some of the floating islands are coming from Reality 54, and some are from other realities.

Also, The Mighty Sword has been vaulted due to the unpredictable behavior of the Zero Point. We understand that this decision may be disappointing to some players, as the Mighty Sword has been a popular and powerful weapon in the game. However, we believe that this change was necessary to maintain balance and fairness for players.

We’re excited to see how players respond to this update and encourage everyone to explore Merged Madness and continue to enjoy the game’s exciting gameplay. As always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions as we continue to work on making Island Zero even better.
